Alan is at the home of his girlfriend looking through the paper for a job when he sees an ad which he tears out from the paper. He thinks Betty’s father won’t mind, as the article on the other side is nothing he would be interested in. When Mr Dittenfeffer discovers the paper is torn Alan tells him it had something in it that gave him an idea. Alan is thrown out by Betty’s father and then Mr Dittenfeffer finds the piece of paper on the floor with the article on the other side which read, Boy poisons girlfriends father for $10,00 insurance with two teaspoons of arsenic in a glass of warm milk. Mr Dittenfeffer becomes convinced that Alan is trying to do away with him!
