Insurance For Everything

Broadcast: 1st January 1952
Added: Jan 02 2014

As Luigi writes his letter home to his mamma Basco he tells here that what new year means for Americans is that they only have 350 shopping days until Christmas! for him 1951 was a good year as most importantly he finished the year still not married to Rosa despite Pasquale never giving up trying to marry them off.

He goes on to tell her that as he went out in the snow for a walk to his night school he fell on the pavement in front of the butchers and the butcher came out and told him not to worry as he had public liability insurance. Luigi has no intention to claim insurance but is talked in to it by Pasquale as he tells him Americans have insurance for everything and suing for damages is a big American pastime!
