This is the story of the problem of elderly Chief Swaygo's sale of four thousand acres to the Beddington Construction Company. Cheif Swaygo believed that the money would help his people and trusted the advice of Cooper and Beddington. The vanishing resources of our American Indians is exemplified here as Senator Dean Edwards faced with a legal contract for the sale of the land attempts to find a way out. After meeting Archie Long at the reservation senator Edwards has run up against a stone wall in the person of Floyd Beddington. He's got his contract and refuses to move his dam further down stream despie the fact it will destroy the Indians fishing rights.
