Indian Campaign

Broadcast: December 9, 1949

Major Davies was the commandant of Fort Casper in the heart of Indian country. His knowledge of the Indians, coupled with his courage and energy, kept the savage Apaches under control. The Major was in the thick of every skirmish, until a bullet brought him down, critically wounded. For weeks he lay in bed, attended by his daughter, Ellen, and the Army's surgeon, Dr Parish, until the most crucial day of the Major's career... The day when bandages were to be taken from his eyes.
