In the course of an ordinary year the FBI handles big cases and small cases. Big cases like the trapping of the German saboteurs who came here to steal the secrets of the atomic bomb and small cases such as the one you’re going to hear about now. The important thing about this case is not the sum of money involved or even the people involved for the criminal is a petty thief. The important thing is that the FBI took as much time and effort as it did on this comparatively minor infraction of the law. No case is too big for the FBI and none is too small if it violates the federal statute under the FBI’s jurisdictions.
