Ike Prelinger was a slippery character that had a Straight Life policy of $25,000 with standard double indemnity clause for accidental death. Jackson from the insurance company discovered that the beneficiary was Louie Livercomb and that he was also paying the policy. When Ike’s cabin is burnt to the ground with Ike in it he suspects that this accident may have been arranged by Livercomb.
