As long as she's Jean Hayes, Middlefold's librarian it won't make any difference that her father was an embezzler who committed suicide but as Mrs Dan farrow wife of the young politician she felt the Hayes scandal would ruin Dan's future and despite his protests she didn't want to spoil his future.
