Chester goes to get Matt Dillon, as he is afraid that Emmett Bowers is about to kill a man for accusing him of being a horse thief. Bowers has one of the biggest ranches around and has over two hundred horses. He bought the horse in question yesterday from a man named Vic Lowry who claimed he had bought them from someone named Pringle. However Charlie Disha claimed that the Bar S brand on the horse was his brand. Bowers it seemed had bought six horses from a horse thief and was not happy.
