Private detective Richard Diamond has two cases on his hand but both too similar to be a coincidence. Both men are being blackmailed by receiving a letter in the mail and have $100 ready by that night when somebody called Andy would pick it up. Andy turned out to be a homing pigeon who arrived in a delivery box with a note to put the bill in a capsule and let the bird free. But what can the two men have in common that links them? That's the clue that helps Diamond find the blackmailer.
