Homestead Proved Up

In the days of the old west, homesteads dotted the vast stretches of the prairie and the mountain slopes - land granted to the pioneers provided they did the required work on their acreage. About a hundred miles west of the trail, two men rode along one side of a homestead, which ended at a high bluff. It was George Cranfield's homestead, who only stayed at the homestead for two months each year, which is one of the requirements. George has only one more stretch of two months to put in, and then the homestead becomes his for life.
