Priam Farli is a world renowned English painter, who has been in several south pacific countries for some time, until he was called back to England by the monarchy to be knighted. On his return however, he finds that his valet, Henry Leek is gravely ill. When he passes away, he is mistaken for the valet, and it gives him the idea to pass himself off as Henry Leek to avoid the knighthood, and the pomp and ceremony that goes with it...
