George L. Harvey Hollywood producer met a beautiful woman named Mary Conrad after being introduced by his associate Fred Kane. Harvey was married and now Mary was threatening to tell his wife about his affair unless he paid her a hundred thousand dollars. Richard Diamond is flown in from New York to California because G.L. wants an outsider to  get something on her to stop her blackmailing him. After meeting Mary Conrad under the pretence of being an agent she invites him back to her house. They go in separate cars and when Diamond arrives there he discovers she is dead, shot to death and G.L. is fleeing the scene in his car.
