Was this the first ever reality show?

An interesting, albeit a little odd series, Bride and Groom, was broadcast in 1947 on ABC Radio.

In each episode, couples would tie the knot live on the air, and then be interviewed afterwards by John Nelson, who would present them with wedding gifts and a free honeymoon.

In today's show, it's a beautiful day at the Chapman Park Hotel in Hollywood, and we meet our lovely young bride, Holly Jane Stahl, and her handsome and beaming groom, Jimmy Tuff, who will tell you their real love story which led up to their wedding.
