Connie Ennis is a commercial spy, employed to shop at the big department stores and report back to her boss the prices, offers and deals at Gimbels, Bloomingdales and the like. It's there she meets Steve Mason, who realizes what she's doing, but lets her go - which gets him fired! Romantic complications follow, but it's a wonderful story, and shows the true spirit of Christmas during the holidays. 

Robert Mitchum reprises his original 1949 film role.
