In this hilarious comedy, The Hired Wife, Rosalind Russell reprises her 1940 Universal film role as Kendall Browning secretary to cement business owner Stephen Dexter (Jeff Chandler). When Dexter stands to lose all his money in a bad business deal he marries his secretary and transfers all his money into her name marrying her for a financial arrangement. But Kendall treats it as more than a financial arrangement coming between him and Phyllis his intended!
