Today's story opens in the familiar office of Doctor Christian, with the doctor saying to Judy "Well this is the day Judy. Poor Susan Blake. Next to having her son John come back alive from the war, she wants his memory honored..." Her son John Blake was a hero, a soldier who gave his life for his country, and his mother is very proud, but very nervous about the ceremony today, as the whole town is turning out for it.
