Matt Dillon went to Fort Larner to collect a return prisoner to hold in Dodge until someone came to collect him for Boston. But it turned out to be a woman, Mrs Phillips and it was her husband that was coming to collect her. Mrs Phillips had been captured on her way to join her husband in Denver and had lived with the Cheyenne Indians for the last 10 years until she managed to escape.
