Until two years ago, Freddy lived in a slum district of New York City and kept bad company. Now, Helen Burrows - one of his former friends - has come to Rossville, and has already threatened trouble. Freddy however, hasn't said anything about her yet, and this morning as he gets ready to leave Nora, she questions why he isn't dressed for work today.
