It's a freezing cold night, and there's a commotion downstairs in the basement at Mrs Hollis' house. It's her grandson, Joey and his friends and they sound like they're in fits of giggles. Grandmother kindly tells them that she will make them some cocoa and cake, but the boys just keep laughing, until just a few minutes later Joey's friends carry his prone body up the stairs. When the doctor arrives, it's too late, Joey is already dead from a drug overdose.
