Today Hoppy tells us about the Gunhawk Convention, which began one day in eastern Arizona. Hoppy had made a big trail drive to a rancher who had paid for a herd in gold - ten thousand dollars. It was too much to carry, so after sending the crew back to the Bar 20, he and California rode into town to exchange the gold for a bank draft. Though it was a small town, Bismark was the hub of Titus Tremayne's big trading empire, and Titus Tremayne was rumored to be the richest man in Texas, so the bank should be big enough to do the draft - but it's strange how there's nobody around in the town...
