It’s a hot July day as the noonday sun beats down on the fertile fields of Granby’s Green Acres. The birds are still, the field mice have burrowed deep in to the ground and in the pastures the cow lies contented in the shade of an oak tree. No one with any sense would venture out in to the blazing sun except John Granby!
