The Golden Key Murder case opened in Philo Vance’s office with the finding of the body of a man with a golden key clutched in his hand. A girl singer told District Attorney Markham about a club called the Golden Key and of a threat she had received. Then two unknown men hold up the club and robbed everyone present after shooting an employee.
