The red basin country of the old south west was a great natural area. It had a few trees, a great deal of sage brush, but not many inhabitants. But it was here in this basin that Josh Dunbar homesteaded when he came west, and it was here as our story opens, that the Cisco Kid and his constant companion the roly poly Pancho were arriving.
