Joan Fontaine stars as Ann Rutledge in The Girl Lincoln Loved. It is the story of Abe Lincoln aged 24 a tall strapping lad with no thoughts of ever becoming president and of Anne Rutledge and their few happy moments together. But mostly the play is about Ann Rutledge herself and her father and mother and brothers and sisters and her everyday life and her qualities that made her the girl that Lincoln loved.
