Girl Crazy is George Gershwin’s musical comedy from when he was at the peak of his popular success.

This version has been directed and adapted by George Zachary who has crowded in to it as much Gershwin music as possible presenting the work of a great popular composer at the high point of his Broadway career.

Girl Crazy opened in New York on October 14th, 1930 and did much to make New Yorkers forget the depression then using up the headlines. Songs include Bidin’ My Time,

You Could Use Me, Embraceable You, Someone To Watch Over Me, But Not For Me and I Got Rhythm.
