It's the trial for the case of the State vs Louie Barton, accused of robbing the First National Bank, and some of the assorted citizens of Summerfield, including Gildersleeve, sit on a jury. Gildy is accused of bribe-taking, and his efforts to get out of trouble only get him deeper.
