The clock on the white wall showed a quarter to twelve a half hour since Bruce Rhymer had arrived in response to the summons. He was nervous now unable to concentrate any longer on the scientific journals on the table beside his chair It wasn’t like Dr Fenshaw to keep him waiting this way and something in the man’s voice had told him there was important news and that for the first time in eleven years since Bruce Rhymer had come to the institute for biological research he was about to get a break and it had been a long time coming.
