Clint Askham was a gambler who was in Dodge as he had a matter to settle. He was looking for Jim Cass and asked Marshall Matt Dillon to take him to him. Jim Cass is a peaceful man who doesn’t even wear a gun and a personal friend of Matt Dillon’s. Matt wants to find out what could bring a man to hate him so much that he wants to kill him.
