Freddie Lang is missing, and can't be found anywhere in Rossville. The last seen of him, was when he warned Johnny Keith not to send the police after Penny Gibbs, supposedly held prisoner by Bill Carver and Jerri Manson. Now, in an automobile speeding out into the country, Bill Carver wants to know how many times Jerri had actually hit Penny to make her look so weak.
