The show begins with Spike Jones and the City Slickers opening the show with a wonderful toe-tapping rendition of "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone" before Harvey pops in to read a comical poem to Spike. Next, he introduces Dorothy Shay, who sings Herman.
