The year is 1815, and the place is a little silversmith shop in New York. A young man stands nearby, watching the deft hands and smooth skill of the silversmith as he works. The young man's name is Elphalet Remington, and he's there on the bidding of his father, to ask the silversmith's help transforming some silver coins into spoons for his sister's wedding present.
