Edward Gittan drowns after driving his car over a bridge, and subsequently dies. However, he is brought back to life after a few minutes by paramedics on the scene, and is rushed to hospital, where he falls into a coma for a week. After waking up, he is released to carry on with his normal life, but finds that things will never be normal again. He starts to have episodes, where everyone in the world it seems disappears, and he is left completely alone, before being violently shoved back to reality...
