There was a crisp, autumn feel in the air  when they left the Bar 20 some days before, and headed north through the valleys. It was the time of year when the cowpoke oiled up his shotgun, and tried to steal a day off now and then to forget about everything else, and concentrate on ducks and wild chickens.
