This is the first program of Screen Guild Theater the motion pictures star’s own program, sponsored by Gulf Oil and introduced as the Gulf Screen Guild Show. It stars Jack Benny, Joan Crawford, Reginald Gardiner and Judy Garland with Oscar Bradley and his Orchestra.

The money that Gulf Oil Company paid the stars for appearing on these programmes was turned over to the Motion Picture Relief Fund.
