Benjamin Powell died and in his will he left his daughter heir to his considerable fortune. He requested that she live with Mr Harvey Lyon his life long friend and his wife Laura Lyon until her 23rd birthday at which date all his worldly belongings would come in to he possession provided that nothing untoward happens to her by that time. But in the event that she is incapable of taking over the estate upon her 23rd birthday he appointed Harvey and Laura Lyons his final heirs there being no other living blood relative. It was now one week from Julia’s 23rd Birthday and she was afraid that she was going insane as her mother had before her.
