Although Fanny Kemble is known to most of us as the great English actress of Covent Garden Theater in London she was also distinguished a s a playwright, poet and novelist. Her life spanned almost the whole of the nineteenth century (27 November 1809 – 15 January 1893) and she one of the most loved and respected women of the Victorian era.
