On the morning of March 14th 1950 Dr Frederick Ziegler eminent scientist in chemical research was in the secret basement laboratory of his home on the outskirts of Philadelphia talking to his assistant Anthony Kirk. He wanted him to be one of the first to hear the good news. What he had accomplished would be of vital importance to national events. He had developed a formula by which an artificial metal with all the properties of mica could be manufactured quickly and inexpensively. Kirk steals the formula and blows up the doctor in his lab making it look like an accident.
