Nobody ever tells the story of Ezra Lee of Connecticut, and that's very strange, because New England people normally talk about their heroes, as they should. But there's a reason they don't talk about Ezra Lee, and why most of our history books don't mention his name. It's an acceptable reason, but we're going to mention his name anyway, and tell his story - at least that part of his story that concerns the first year of the American revolution.
