Execution

Broadcast: 27th April 1943

Execution is a story not of imaginary terrors, this play will thrill and chill you beyond any power of the supernatural because this story is based on cruel grim reality. Arch Oboler urges you not to avoid this excitement and tension, rather he urges you to turn your radio up and listen as you never did before…

When an unidentified French woman shot at and slightly wounded a German patrolman Captain Hans Maulich placed the entire population of the French village Renoir under arrest and collected fifty female hostages to be hanged in the village square unless the criminal who had shot the German was turned over at once. This story shows that the Nazi’s can kill people but they can never kill the spirit of victory.
