Chuck Morgan KOP newscaster in Los Angeles saw a picture of a man in The Times that he remembered as communist Ivan Rulinski who sentenced to five years for subversive activities. Now his name was Jim Loring and he was running for mayor of Carmichael, which is a city of about 250000 population, located up the coast about 100 miles from LA. Loring was not only running for mayor, it look as though he were going to be elected. Chuck Morgan decides he ought to do something about it.
