Fred Michaels was an old fishing pal of Chuck Morgan’s. Fred Michaels’s son Ricky had been kidnapped from school. The man who called him told him if he called the police he would not get his boy back. They said he had to get together $50,000 in cash and jewels. It seems that the abductors knew a lot about him and his family and even that Chuck Morgan was with him house right now. Their instructions were that his pal Chuck Morgan was to deliver the ransom money.
