Chuck Morgan’s secretary was an eager beaver when it came to lining up stories for Chuck’s broadcasts which went out twice a day. But every once in a while Carol went overboard in her attempts to ferret out features. She claimed she had a hot tip from a mysterious person whose name she didn’t know who told her that a big shipment of marijuana was scheduled to be shipped across the border at Calexico and if they wanted an eight column yarn they’d better be on hand. Chuck wrote that one off to one of them crackpots who were forever phoning in but Carol took it seriously and ended up in jail herself in Calexico framed for smuggling Marijuana across the border.
