The story resumes in the hills above Morris Town, it is Sunday and Bill Reid is enjoying a few hours away from the job with his mother and Kerry Graham. The quiet of an old fashioned Sabbath broods over the Green Valley. To the west the big mountains loom on the horizon, the woods are glorious in their autumn color. True to his restless nature Bill Reid is away down the river after trout while the two women sit talking in the shade of a big pine tree.
