The flames sweep hungrily through C Block of the state prison, where Max Sanders, Mary's beloved husband, has been imprisoned. Driven wild by fear, Mary made an attempt to enter the blazing inferno to search for Max, but was snatched back in time by Dr John Benson. Revived by the prison surgeon, Mary is certain that Max is alive. So strong is her belief that Max will return to her, she has offered any help she can.
