This is the first episode of Green Valley Line, a story of a small back country railroad in the early years of the twentieth century. A story of the lives of small time people in the America of that time. The story opens at a little water tank siding on a hill above Morris Town, a small railroad terminal in the heart of the Green Valley. As the darkness gathers, the lights begin to twinkle in the little town below. In the shadow of the big water tank two men sit waiting for an incoming freight. The first is Spider McGee, a wandering fireman and the other, a young slim good-looking man who displays the traits of education and refinement.
