Following Marjorie’s engaged to Bronco Thomson the family are looking for a suitable photo of her to post in the local paper with the engagement announcement which includes rather a lot about Gildy. However when the paper goes to press all that is said about Gildy is that he is the local water Commissioner but rather a lot is said about the father of the groom.

It’s beginning to look as though Marjorie is marrying in to a family of rather important people which comes to something of a surprise to the Great Gildersleeve.
