The Railroad Hour presents a musical play by Lawrence and Lee, The Emperor Of San Francisco starring Gordon MacRae as Joshua Norton, the Emperor of San Francisco an adventurer who came west with the gold rush, and his guest Dorothy Warenskjold.

The choir is under the direction of Norman Luboff and the music is prepared and conducted by Carmen Dragon.
