The other evening, Ben saw a newsreel on television from the Brooklyn Dodgers spring training camp. Don Newcombe was pitching straight into the camera, and the ball seemed to hurtle right at him, and then break to one side. But Ben had already ducked, and spilled the ashtray. Whilst collecting Silver Tips from the rug, the thought occurred to Ben, that a great deal of life goes that way... Spring in the city for example.
