It’s late Sunday night and the final week of campaigning is over and only one day remains before the good citizens of Summerfield go to the polls to cast their votes in the Primary. It’s been a hard week but the decision now is in the lap of the gods and candidate Gildersleeve is in the arms of Morpheus. Through his weary brain run troubled fantasies and he tosses and twists in his sleep as he argues with himself. If he gets the nomination Tuesday he’s as good as elected and if he gets nominated mayor, Eve Goodwin has promised to marry him but if Eve marries him Mother Goodwin comes to live with them…!
