There is an old house in Pensylvania's beautiful mountains which has recently had a considerable amount of money spent on restoring it to it's original condition. One wing has been made ideally suitable for use as a laboratory, whose work was all arranged for and supervised by a man who calls himself Mr Smith. More, one suspects, to promote anonymity than establish identity. The job is finished now, and Mr Smith is interviewing two people, to whom he has offered a rather peculiar job.
